Velvet has made a hell of a comeback and I am loving it! I have always loved velvet because the fabric screams luxuriousness and sophistication. It gives off the right amount of glamour while being refined and giving off a mature air. Men's fall fashion week in Paris this year had tons of the great trend. Dolce and Gabbana had extraordinary variations of the great trend, their pieces were perfect for the renaissance man. A lot of their pieces were also touched up with gold embroidery, Le Magnifique! Below are some more takes on the great trend at Paris fall mens fashion week this year from Gucci, Roberto Cavalli, Dries Van Noten, Burberry Prorsum, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, and Alexander McQueen.

Alexander McQueen A/W 2012-13Tom Ford has produced some great velvet pieces in their past fall collections. I desperately want one of those velvet bow-ties or blazers.

Velvet also made a big splash on the red carpet this year with Swizz Beatz in a pink velvet Tom Ford blazer and bow-tie at the Grammys, Chris Plummer in a vintage velvet blazer at the Oscars, and Tom Ford in one of his own velvet blazers at the Oscars.
